Hi it’s Dr. Perry. Today I want to talk about compassion. First of all, as a woman who is hard on herself, and a doctor who does her best to be as compassionate as possible with whatever my patients are going through… I want to say that I get it! Recently, I have been trying to make some changes in my diet, and boy, so many of the women that I work with are also trying to make improvements in their diet. It’s gotta be, I think, one of the most difficult changes to make. So, a little bit about my story, for a long time now I have been eating a relatively low, depending on my activity level maybe moderate some days, carbohydrate diet. Paleo style, paleo inspired diet, and it’s worked really well for me. But, I have also realized that my protein intake is pretty high and so the change that I have been trying to implement is to lower my intake of protein and and increase my intake of fat. That has been amazingly challenging. I came to realize that I have been doing the same thing for years and years and years and I’ve been very comfortable with it. Change is challenging! So, my heart goes out to you if you are in the process of making improvements to your diet.
